"Looking for Revolution” (2007) was made in the frames of “Why Democracy?" series of the UN Development Fund (UNDEF)« by Steps International, directed by Rodrigo Vazkes.
A former farmer of coca in Bolivia Evo Morales became the first native president in the American continent promising to continue the unfinished revolution by Che Guevarra. However, while trying to create jobs for the poor Morales faces the fierce resistance of the local rich people and the land owners who threaten to stop the economy of the country. The revolution of local people was at a risk of failure in the rising tensions. The film’s main heroine is young Giovanna Navia, who is elected into the Bolivian parliament as a representative of the trade union of unemployed and tries to protect the interests of poor and unemployed native women.
